{"id":1494,"date":"2017-02-22T19:13:51","date_gmt":"2017-02-22T11:13:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dentalnurseacademy.org\/?p=1494"},"modified":"2017-02-22T19:13:51","modified_gmt":"2017-02-22T11:13:51","slug":"statutory-holidays-for-2016-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dentalnurseacademy.org\/?p=1494","title":{"rendered":"Statutory Holidays for 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Statutory Holidays for 2016<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The 12 statutory holidays for 2016 are:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The first day of January (1 January)<\/li>\n<li>Lunar New Year&#8217;s Day (8 February)<\/li>\n<li>The second day of Lunar New Year (9 February)<\/li>\n<li>The third day of Lunar New Year (10 February)<\/li>\n<li>Ching Ming Festival (4 April)<\/li>\n<li>Labour Day (1 May)<\/li>\n<li>Tuen Ng Festival (9 June)<\/li>\n<li>Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Establishment Day (1 July)<\/li>\n<li>The day following the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival (16 September)<\/li>\n<li>National Day (1 October)<\/li>\n<li>Chung Yeung Festival (9 October)<\/li>\n<li>Chinese Winter Solstice Festival (21 December) or Christmas Day (25 December) (at the option of the employer)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>All employees are entitled to the above statutory holidays. If the statutory holiday falls on a rest day, a holiday should be granted on the day following the rest day which is not a statutory holiday or an alternative holiday or a substituted holiday or a rest day.
